Hello again fellow Bloggers. It's been a while. The last few months were mad here in the Tap.The All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil was another almighty success. I would sincerly like to thank all my staff who yet again pulled out all the stops for me and put on some show to ensure that all our visitors were well taken care of. It was again a wonderful experience and we can't wait until next year when Offaly will get their first three in a row!!!

Plans have come together well for our skiing trip next January to Austria. We have 50 brave people signed up for what will be a fun filled week. We will be having our own Apres Ski party early in October to bring all our skiers together for a "get to know you" night out. That will be a fun night.

We are having another "Pimp My Tap" fancy dress party on Sunday 26th October. We are planning a great night with loads of Razzmatazzzzzzz so get your glad rags out and join us for a super night.

I am very involved in organising the first ever Lads Night Out without the girls. No it is not a gay party but a super fundraiser being organised by Tullamore Lions Club with proceeds going to Dochas and The Alzheimers Society. It is going to be the Social event of the year.It is already booked out!!!!!

I will be in touch soon....

Regards Paul.

What a few weeks we have had in County Offaly. One of the proudest events of our history occured when our good friend Brian Cowen wes made Taoiseach of Ireland. We all headed to the Dail for his big day and i believe the celebrations that we performed was never before seen outside Dail Eireann for any occassion. Everybody in the Tap would like to sincerely wish Brian the very best of luck in his new role and we extend our best wishes to Mary and the girls.

We will be having our 6th anniversary party on Thursday 5th June and we are hoping that the man himself might make a brief apperance. We are planning another big night for what has been an amazing 6 years for us all in the Tap and we would love to see all our very loyal customers here on the big night.

I promise to enter way more messages on my blog in the future. I will finish this message with a thank you to the Sunday World pub spy who gave us a glowing report and we were all thrilled with that. I will talk to ye soon..... Paul.

Christmas is over

Well it's hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone already. It was another super season in the Tap. It all started for us on our Customer night which was a great success with Kenny Cunningham, our former soccer international even singing for us.

It's a hard time of the year for our staff as it is so busy and they all have to work when everyone else is out enjoying themselves. For this reason i want to pay my staff a huge debt of gratitude and wish them all a super new year and thanks again for making the Tap the huge success that it is.

We have many things planned for 2008. On 23rd Febuary we are heading to Croke Park for the Ireland V Scotland 6 nations match. Seats are very limited for this day out so let me know asap if you would like to travel. If it is half as good as last year it will be some day out.

Myself and Mark Plunkett of Blue Sky Mortgages are planning a super promotion. We are going to be running a competition that the winners will win a trip to see Sunderland v Arsenal in the last match of the season. It is a huge game as it could very easily be Sunderland needing to win to stay in the Premiership and it could be Arsenal needing to win to win the Premiership. We will have six tickets available and the winners will get return flights, 4 star accomodation and box tickets in the Stadium Of Light. Watch this space for details.

We will be hosting a Valentines weekend promotion,Paddys week beerfest, the Phoennix will be here and of course the Fleadh is on it's way again not to mention numerous other festival weekends to keep all our valued customers entertained throughout the year .

All in all it plans to be another super year at the Tap and believe me we intend to make it just that.....Thanks a million for all your support in 2007 and we look forward to another great year this year. I apologise for the delay in updating my blog but we had a few technical prolems that are now resolved. I will keep ye posted regularly to futher events and news..Talk soon, Paul.

The Fleadh has arrived.

Well after all the planning and meetings the Fleadh has arrived in the great town of Tullamore. It's only Tuesday and already there is a great buzz around the town. Everywhere you look there are people with instruments of all kinds. The flags are up and look super and to everyones amazement our summer has also arrived at long last which is going to make the Fleadh probably one of the best ever.

It's so hard to know what to buy in, how much will we need, how much change will we need, how many staff will we need and when will we need them. Anyway I think I am well organised and I intend to put on one hell of a show for all our visitors. You only get one chance to make a first impression and I can guarentee that the staff of the Tap will, as always, put on a great show.

I will be back next week to report on how the Fleadh went and then it is time to start planning for the ploughing championships.... What a year for Tullamore... The best town in Ireland!!

Last weekend was a super one in the Tap. On Friday we had our annual trip to Glasson Golf Club and it was a great sucess. The winner was Brian Gavin with 43 points. Brian is well known in Ireland as being one of the heaviest, sorry best referees in the country. Our sponsor was Mick Daly and as usual Mick did not have much to say.....We all squeezed into the Tap afterwards for another memorable night..

On Sunday we had one of the most memorable days in Irish sport with Padraig Harrington winning the British Open. The Tap was a nervous place on Sunday evening but when he won we all went mad. A great day to be Irish.

I would like to wish my brother Ray and his lovely wife Tracey a super trip to the States along with their 10 kids and Nanny Sadie, who is also my sister. They are visiting my multi millionaire brother PJ and his lovely wife Lisa and I would say they are having a ball. If anybody out there would like to visit my brother PJ in America I will give ye the details soon.... He loves visitors...

The Fleadh is only 4 weeks away so lets start praying for good weather...Talk soon, Paul.

Just a quick word to thank everyone who supported the Tap during this years Phoenix Festival. It was another great sucess and i would like to take this oppertunity to thank all my super staff who put on another great show all over the weekend. Our entertainment went down great and I look forward to next year already. The Fleadh is only weeks away now and we are gearing up for that. It is going to be nothing like you have ever seen before and I can't wait. This will really put our great town of Tullamore on the map and it will do great things for us in the future.
